This blog should be a guide of what is going on over on my side of the woods. A famous artist once said that,“Nobody can teach what is inside a person; it has to be discovered for oneself and a way must be found to express it.”

It is freezing...
The Chicago region is bracing for a frigid weekend, with temperatures predicted to plummet below zero for the first time in nearly a year. We're going to get hit really hard. An advisory issued by the National Weather Service warns of wind chills reaching minus 20 degrees between midnight Friday and noon Saturday. That should be interesting, I'm already wearing socks and 'chapels' on my hardwood floors since it seems like the cold is creeping in. As our wedding anniversary approaches...frigid weekends like these are at times welcomed by Tincy and I. My thoughts always lead me to think of "worst case scenarios" and I shudder to think that any time the city experiences multiple days of extreme weather it can cause additional health risks for the sick, elderly and people with disabilities. Lord please protect them one and all. Graciously hear us, O Lord, when we call upon You,and grant unto our supplications a calm atmosphere, that we, who are justly afflicted for our sins, may, by Your protecting mercy, experience pardon.
